Raw Resources

There are numerous raw resources that you'll need to collect in Ark. The trick is to know what they are, how to harvest them, and of course, where to look for them!

Chitin

Chitin is a resource that is used in specialized crafting in Ark. It is harvested from various creatures found on land, in caves, and in the water.

Crystal

Crystal is an uncommon to rare resource in Ark that is often used for advanced crafting.

Fiber

Fiber is a basic resource used in many crafting and cooking recipes in Ark.

Flint

Flint is a very common resource in Ark. It is used to fuel fire and for the crafting of many items and resources.

Hides

Hides are harvested from various animals in Ark and are used in a wide variety of crafting projects.

Keratin

Keratin is a resource harvested primarily from larger land Dinos in Ark.

Metal

Metal Ore is harvested from the various larger stones in Ark using a pick or specialized Dino.

Obsidian

Obsidian is harvested using a pick and is most often found higher in the mountains in Ark.

Organic Polymer

Organic Polymer is a substiute for Polymer in Ark. It does spoil rapidly and so must be used shortly after harvesting.

Oil

Oil is a key resource for crafting and food preservation in Ark. It is found underwater and as a rare drop from certain creatures.

Pelts

Pelts are harvested from a select few creatures in Ark, and are used in a few crafting projects.

Raw Meat

Raw Meat is a fundamental food source in Ark and is also used in taming. It is best to cook raw meat before eating it.

Raw Prime Meat

Raw Prime Meat is a rare food source in Ark and is also used in taming. It should be cooked before being eaten.

Silica Pearls

Silica Pearls are a key resource in advanced crafting. These pearls are found primarily in the deeper waters in Ark or as a rare creature drop.

Thatch
